OK, I need to intervene here people, I know that I am a bit delayed with this forfeit business, but to all of you please remember that this is my poor brother that you guys are trying to do this do, and Dee (and we'll keep it like that) I will have to deal with you personally when I see you .......... lol. As of now, I will have to be monitoring this forfeit thing because I am not having non of it ...... not when my poor brother is on the other side of the world and none of us are there to rescue him .......lol

Dread it's good to hear from you. I am really well as you can see. I have had a life changing experience this last year and a chance to fully re-charge my batteries. My Spanish is at a very good standard i am more confident speaking it now then when i left England.

How have you been ?

Sis, you know what they say 'if the kitchens too hot, bail out' so if Dons not man enough (wasn't that a Toni Braxton song?)to do any of the forfeits then we'll understand....

P.S If i see you first you won't see me hun, i'll be off like Mr Bolt (LOL)...

Glad to hear......lifes all about changes and experiences in order for growth and making the necessary changes/choices that benefit US!!

I am very well thank you......it's been as ever an interesting year for me I think it's one of those 7 year itches where you need to shed a layer of unwanted skin (so to speak, getting rid of the old and bringing in the new, making the necessary decisions as we do in order to get to where I need to be, at the same time having fun and living life.

Good to hear your finally online Dread (although now you've cut off your locks i think you need a new nickname)!!

In case your a lil confused by this strange 'Dee' being so familiar with you its actually MJ speaking (the Dee things a looooong story)

So Don, out of your South American experience to date which stands out in your mind the most and whats the 3 main things being away has taught/shown you ?? Know i'm getting all deep here but just switching things a lil folks....

MJ, I know it's you, but thanks anyway, eh, eh I forgot about that
!!!

I second your questions to the South American Traveller, but I maybe repeating a question however, I would like to ask what inspired your decision to travel for such a long spell of time and what do you hope to achieve from this experience as it's something I wanted to do but never had the bottle to follow through......but who knows when my children are all grown up if I'm able bodied........

Good question Dready....Mr Simon, you awake over there or what ???

Digressing slightly, i was thinking that it'd be nice if once Dons back we ALL go out for an evening to celebrate Dons safe arrival back in the country plus the new friendships that have been established via this blog. Shame you couldn't be here for that Clauds as it would be lovely to meet up with you face to face too....

Dee and Dread very interesting questions.

What made me decide to go on my travel ?.I believe you only live once and it is important to grasp with both hands every and all opportunities when they come along. I have always been an adventurous man those who know me well can confirm that. I wanted to improve my Spanish and i needed a change of scenery at the time i left England, i felt i was treading water with no direction.

The hi-lights of my journey have been Peru, Machu Picchu, Brazil carnival and Colombia the people there are extra nice.

I have learnt since being away that our country England is years ahead in many ways in comparison to many countries. I am very proud to be English. It is not until you are abroad you realize how important British Citizen Ship is.

I have had time to think about my life in the past and what i want in the future. I am crystal clear about what i want for the future. One thing you cannot run away from is your own private thoughts and since being away i have been able to really think things through. I feel truly re-charged.

One final thing to all of you thinking about doing something life changing, JUST DO IT.

I hope i have answered your questions.
